Habitat house in eastern Polk County prior to the
start of the construction of their own house

Voluntarily participate in the construction of
their own Habitat house from start to finish

A total of $1000.00 down payment, half ($500.00) before we start your house and the remaining $500.00 before completion.

|
 |
Permit a credit investigation and have a credit
history free of bankruptcy, foreclosure repossessions
and/or charge offs for a minimum of three years
|
| |
|
 |
Make regular, on-time, monthly principal-only mortgage
and escrow (for taxes and insurance) payments for
a minimum of twenty years
|
| |
|
 |
Attend a homeowners’ responsibilities education
class taught by Keystone Challenge
|
| |
|
 |
Maintain their house and lot in a responsible fashion
to reflect positively on Habitat
|
| |
|
 |
Attend an April “Application
Night” event for more information and to secure an
application (event dates, times and locations are
announced after March 15th-simply call 292-2256).
